The rest of this site is about lowering the odds. This section is about the other end: the trials and first-in-human results that could cure a disease, put it into lasting remission, or replace a failing organ outright. I'll keep it current as results come in.
A word on reading it. A first patient, a mouse study, or a company press release is a reason for hope, not a cure, and each entry says which it is: cured, in remission, slowed, or only longer survival. Every entry gives the trial size, how long people were followed, and where it stands now.
